In another life I obtained a Masters in the Archaeology of the Ancient Near East, in the University of Ghent in Flanders.

Eventhough my path did not bring me to actually work as an archaeologist, I have always kept my interest in mythology and in the mystery of the earliest civilisations.

And for those of you who know me it is no secret that I am devoted to my spiritual journey.

Somehow these 2 interests of mine came together when, living in Turkey, I started looking into certain aspects of code of conduct that we can find in the old religious books. More specifically I wondered why and when “God” made a dresscode for women and not for men. This rather innocent inquiry (I thought) brought me straight down the rabbit hole.

I want to share this quest of mine with you, I want to show you what I discovered and I want to raise awareness about what this means for our life because after 6ys of study I feel that, unfortunately, my findings are very relevant today.

FYI for the people who were present last year when I gave this lecture in Tuamgraney, it will be more or less an updated version of the same lecture. It is the same base material but I allow for more time this time so I can finish my train of thought and properly propose my temptative conclusion.
